Booking services and products

Products are booked online at www.merihovi.fi via the online store and shopping cart. Reservations can be made by adults. All reservations are confirmed by email, which states the price of the reservation and the ordered products. To receive a reservation confirmation, you must provide your email address when ordering. The customer agrees to the delivery terms in force with each reservation.

Payment methods

Purchases in the Merihovi online store can be paid for by credit card or online bank.

Payment service provider

Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) operates as a payment intermediary service and payment service provider in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj is the payment recipient on the bank statement or card invoice and forwards the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj has a payment institution license. In cases of complaints, we ask you to contact the product supplier primarily.

Online banks

Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) operates the payment intermediary service related to online banking payments in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. From the customer’s perspective, the service works the same as traditional online payments.

Booking and cancellation conditions for accommodation reservations

Arrival and departure at the hotel

The hotel room is available to the customer from 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and until 12:00 p.m. on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed. The additional fee for late room release is 10€/hour.

Unless otherwise agreed upon when making the room reservation, the room will be considered reserved for the customer until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If the customer arrives at the hotel later, they must confirm their late arrival to the hotel. Otherwise, the hotel may resell the room.

Reservation guarantee

A credit card can be used to confirm the reservation. If the customer arrives at the hotel after 6:00 p.m., the hotel may request the customer’s credit card details either in writing or orally to confirm the reservation. An alternative to a credit card guarantee may also be a partial or full prepayment to guarantee the reservation.

Changing the reservation

The customer may change the date of accommodation as needed within the time limits allowed by the above-mentioned cancellation conditions.

Cancellation of a reservation and no-show

Unless otherwise agreed upon when making a reservation, cancellation of a reservation is possible no later than 18:00 on the day of arrival. If the customer does not arrive at the hotel on the confirmed arrival date, the hotel has the right to charge the customer the price of the first night as compensation.
Cancellation must ALWAYS be made in writing to Hotel Merihovi, at hotel@merihovi.fi The reservation is not canceled automatically if the invoice is not paid, but the customer must always cancel the reservation in writing. The cancellation is considered to have occurred at the time when the hotel is notified of the cancellation in writing. If the customer shows that the written cancellation has been made and sent to the correct address at the correct time, the cancellation will be accepted.
In the event of sudden illness or death in the family or other exceptional circumstances preventing travel, the customer must ensure that their own travel and accident insurance covers the costs of the reservation, if the event leads to the need to cancel the reservation. Hotel Merihovi must be notified of the cancellation immediately. The host will also comply with the above booking conditions in these cases.

Booking confirmation

Once the booking has been received, the customer will receive a booking confirmation by email. The confirmation should be kept in case the customer needs to contact Hotel Merihovi regarding the order.

Gift cards in the online store

A Hotel Merihovi gift card can be used to purchase hotel and restaurant products and services for the amount chosen by the customer. There are gift cards of different values to choose from, which can be used in several parts.
We recommend making an accommodation or restaurant reservation purchased with a gift card in advance.

Gift card content and use

The gift card works in Hotel Merihovi’s hotel and restaurant services. The gift card must be presented to the service provider when paying for the product/service. The contents of Hotel Merihovi’s services are presented on the Merihovi website at www.merihovi.fi. Order and delivery terms

All gift card orders are confirmed by email. The confirmation email contains the actual gift card as an attachment. Receiving the order confirmation and gift card requires providing an email address when ordering. By purchasing a gift card, the customer accepts the general delivery terms and conditions in force at the time of purchase.

Validity period

The gift card can be used in parts and is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

We reserve the right to change our delivery terms. The customer must familiarize themselves with the booking and cancellation terms in force at any time before booking. Oy Sea Lapland Hotels & Restaurants Ltd. treats all customer information completely confidentially.
We do not store the payment information provided by the customer for our own use and we do not receive it through Paytrail. Paytrail stores your payment information and complies with the EU GDPR regulation in processing the information.
